SUNDAY BEST

Two years in the making.
The release of Sunday Best is very personal to me because it’s a reset and a new beginning of Kindja.

Growing up as a refugee for 10 years, all I had was my family.

Sunday was the day we all came together, put on our best Sunday best attire and went to church.
It somehow felt like a reset for all of us, my mom made sure everyone looked amazing.

We forgot about what happened during the week and focused on the positivity that comes with Sunday.

The colours of this collection were inspired by women I grew up going to church with every Sunday.
The women I am surrounded with motivate, inspire and uplift me. Their vibrant personalities inspired me to bring colours that are bold and bright.
Fashion allows me to communicate my thoughts without speaking.

Growing up in a world ruled by men, I am consistently told to shrink myself so I can fit in.
Always told that some colours don’t go well with my skin tone and I had to tone down my confidence when I walk in the room for others comfortability.

I want women to take up space, show up their authentic selves wearing Sunday Best.
I see myself in every woman and I want my brand to represent women who aren’t scared to break some rules and be trendsetters.
